This update is free for owners of a v1.x
license.
- Wizard Mode for beginners.
-
SmartTracking (on the Modes tab sheet)
will detect
on which side files have been moved or deleted and automaticallymake the same adjustment on the other side. For security reasons,
SmartTracking won't actually delete any files, but it will require you to specify a
folder where deleted files should be moved.
- Basic Unicode Support
(except for FTP,
ZIP, and folder and file selection) Files and folders with Asian or other special characters can now
be processed. The main file list can display such characters, but all other windows
cannot (yet). You can't specify base folders with Unicode characters, nor can you use
file masks or "Select Folders and Files" with such characters. FTP and ZIP is also
not Unicode-capable at this time.
- Now recognizes all NT products including Windows 2003 Server
s Unicode and long filepath enabled systems
(including Asian characters, Macintosh characters, as well as file
paths up to 32767 characters long - see additional note about Unicode below)
- new option for Email Notification: send only when an error
has occurred.
- /RUNX= parameter will now cause the program to return 0 for
success and 51 for error/incomplete.
- Limit lifted
concerning the number or complexity of folder
and file selections.
- Memory Leaks fixed. Confirmed suitable for long-term 24x7
set-ups.
- Variables: use these environment variables as part of the
base paths:
$MYDOCUMENTS, $ALLUSERSPROFILE, $USERPROFILE, $APPDATA, $PROGRAMFILES
- Detect Moved Files:
ou can now specify in the profile on
which side to adjust them.
- Binary Comparison
verifies files that have identical sizes
and timestamps
- Directory Timestamps
are now copied too, when a new folder is
created.
- new option: Flat Right Side (on the More tab sheet)
This feature enables you to maintain a flat right side without subfolders.
All files from all folders of the left-hand side are copied into the right-hand base
folder. No subfolders are created or used even if they exist on the left-hand side.
- Schedule by Seconds (on the Basic Schedule tab sheet)
You can now schedule your profiles to run several times per minute, by
specifying them to run every X seconds.
- Case Sensitivity: Adjust At Destination
This option renames identical files at the destination so that their
case matches the source.
- Tolerates Special Macintosh Filenames
Files located on a Macintosh Share of a Windows 2000/2003 Server are
now fully tolerated, even if their file or folder names contain characters normally
forbidden on Windows (such as slashes), and even if the folder tree depth is such
that paths longer than 257 characters exist.
- Specify Folder Masks (on the main Edit Profiles tab sheet)
Powerful new options for usage of masks (such as *archive*)
applied to directory names.
- Moving from FTP to FTP now works
- More detailed log files in error situations
- Verification of the synchronization (on the Compare tabsheet)
lists statistics and folder and file differences that remain after a
synchronization
- A setting to include backup files created by this software
which are normally skipped (*.$?$.*) (on the Filters tab sheet)
