Information Concerning the
Upgrade to v1.50 |
-
Any versions below 1.50 should be uninstalled first to
avoid duplicate start menu entries and duplicate files on
your hard disk. Be careful to reply NO when the
uninstaller asks whether you want to also remove all of
the saved profiles and settings!
-
Previous users will automatically be able to test the Pro
edition features for 30 days - the Pro upgrade is
available for only US$ 20.00.
-
If you do not see the Pro features, please request a
registration code for evaluation
-
If you do not need any of the Pro features, you should
still download the new, improved version 1.50 as a free
update which will revert to a Standard edition after 30
days
-
During the 30 days of Pro evaluation, your registration
code will not be shown on the "About" tab sheet. When this
period is over, the registration code will appear again.
To make it appear immediately, just re-enter it.

Complete List of New Pro Edition
Features |
-
Includes the new ExtremeSync Service which can run without
users logging on.
-
Includes support for direct FTP site access.
-
Also includes the new Remote Service which can unpack ZIP
Packages on the destination computer. This method can be
configured on the new "ZIP" tab sheet among the
profile-specific settings. It is used to speed up copying
many small files over a low or medium bandwidth line. ZIP
compression is not used in this version. You need to use
the Remote Service Control Panel in order to activate the
service on the destination machine.

New Features for Both Editions |
-
Adds support for using a standard Windows API function for
copying files, rather than the synchronizer's own
high-speed copying algorithm. The Windows API function is
usually slower, but may work better with some devices as
well as Mac OS 10.3 (Panther) shared volumes.
-
The little ToolTip hints can now be turned off (in the
Help menu).
